The Goss children are like most kids. They try their best in school, and do their homework when they get home. They are in sports, school clubs, and music. They like to go the water park in the summer, and make a big deal out of holidays. Like many children, the Goss kids live with one parent, and visit the other one on weekends.
The Goss kids have also lived with a shameful secret. In times past, the Goss kids lived in a home where domestic violence was a normal occurrence. One parent violently attacked the other parent verbally and physically on a regular basis. One parent has been arrested twice for felony domestic violence. Charged both times with felony domestic violence. Convicted both times.
That violent abusive parent was their mother.
Things have been good lately. Their mother has been out of the home for the past two years. Their father, a single-parent due to circumstances outside of his control, has given his children a peaceful home with stability and safety. That now may all come to an end. On October 21, 2016, in the middle of Domestic Violence Awareness month, San Antonio Judge, Larry Noll, had the audacity to rule that, as a man, the children's father could not possibly have had fear during any of the many violent attacks he endured, therefore he could not possibly have been a victim of domestic violence.
In 2009, the mother attacked the father with a knife in front of the children. That attack left scratches and bruises. Judge Noll ruled that this was not domestic violence. In 2015, the mother kicked, punched and choked the father. Responding officers saw visible handprints and nail marks around the father’s neck. Judge Noll ruled that this was not domestic violence.
Judge Noll ruled that the children should be yanked away from their stable environment and be given to their violent and abusive mother. The kids will be taken away from the safe and stable home they have known for the past couple of years, and be forced to move to their mothers. The children will have to say goodby to friends and neighbors as they are yanked away from their respective schools. All because Judge Noll does not believe that a man is capable of taking care of 8 children, completely ignoring the fact that this man has been the exclusive care-giver of all 8 children for the past two years.
Only an Appeal of Judge Nolls ruling will keep the Goss kids at home where they belong. Please consider helping with a donation. Any amount helps. You are humbly thanked in advance. Please share this with family and friends.
